Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped: Jen Arcand, Angela Schwarz, Reilly Saint-Amand, Brian Block, Adam Foster, Graham Marshall, Jon Naveh, Eric Otto, and Chloe Patton.
This year our Social Media/Website/Outreach Coordinator Brianna Toth designed a zine to serve as a survival guide for the incoming MLIS MAS cohort. Our Spring 2018 issue delivers the highlights of what the student chapter has been up to over this past year. We offer tips about the program, information on impending deadlines, and other insider Angelino recommendations. Our zine’s layout design pays tribute to John Carpenter’s cult classic THEY LIVE!, the plot of which is set in LA. With this zine, UCLA AMIA welcomes the incoming class to the program.
Copies will be available for free in the IS Lab (until they run out) and will also be sent to all incoming first years over the summer. It will also be accessible as a downloadable PDF, linked below.
- Spring 2018: MLIS MAS LIVES! – Single page per sheet in chronological order
- Spring 2018: MLIS MAS LIVES! – Two pages per sheet double sided
We hope to continue making zines as a collaborative project next year.
